The founding board, elected for a three-year term.

Four founding board members, drawn from the four signatory societies, set the federation's scientific direction for the 2024–2027 term.

The founding board of EFAR is composed of senior aging researchers from each of the four founding societies. The board's term runs from 2024 to 2027; future boards will be elected at the federation's annual plenary congress.

Founding term · 2024–2027

The current board was constituted at Hellerup in 2024 and serves a three-year inaugural term. Its work, on behalf of the federation, includes the establishment of statutes, the convocation of the first congress, and the publication of EFAR's founding article in Nature Aging.

Governance

EFAR is a registered non-profit federation, seated in Hellerup, Denmark. Its statutes (establishing the board, the annual plenary congress, working groups, and the admission of new member societies) are available on request and will be published here in due course.
